Three BUCA members attended this year’s Spring forum last weekend in Nottingham to hear about how the party is changing from a number of shadow cabinet members. Francis Maude started the forum on Saturday morning before Shadow Chancellor George Osborne’s speech. Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague and David Cameron also gave talks on the Saturday. (more…)
The Conservative Party main conference is coming up in October. This year it is held in Bournemouth between Sunday 1st October and Wednesday 4th October. We have missed the deadline for the £55 tickets, so tickets now cost £80.

This year’s mid-term conference followed a theme of ‘change’ and focused on a Conservative revival in the cities. David Cameron told delegates at the gathering in Manchester that change in the party must be “faster, wider and deeper”. BUCA sent a delegation of four to the 2-day event, where they heard speechers by the Shadow Cabinet, spoke to other university branches, and met members of the Tory front bench. Photos of the (more…)
